We can develop comprehensive custom CBT Modules targeted at the Console and the Outside Operators for new or existing facilities. Our CBTs are animated and provide a systematic coverage of all information the Operator needs to learn the job.

For training a new Operator for a process unit, a platform or a pipeline system, a package of CBTs will be developed to provide a multi-week course intended to be used in a formal classroom setting (or can be used in a self-study mode). The modules follow a lesson plan with learning objectives and is an integral part of the operator training process.

Lesson plans require the CBTs to be used in conjunction with P&ID exercises and field demonstration exercises for competency assessment. The modules systematically train the Operator about process, equipment, safety, control strategy, trouble shooting, routine duties and procedures. CBTs are an ideal starting point for a new Operator’s initial exposure to the process and equipment and can be used in self-study mode for more experienced personnel.

After completing CBT training, a Console Operator is ready to begin simulator or on-the-console training using a tutorial workbook and a break-in checklist. Similarly, an Outside Operator is ready to start on the job break-in using a break-in checklist.

We integrate a variety of materials (process flow diagrams, P&IDs, cause and effect charts, vendor manuals, etc.) into a CBT module. Screen captures from your control system are used to explain the process flow and equipment operation while creating familiarity with the control system.
